Photoshop can solve this Common Home Photography Studio Problem.

I envy you if you have the space for a home Photography studio and the proper sized backgrounds so you don't have to deal with this common problem the rest of us have to deal with.

Don't fret my fellow budget minded Photographers, the guys from Adobe has provided the solution and it's called Photoshop.

It's also a real quick and easy fix.

The photo above has 2 main problems, well 3 if you want to fix the hanging sheet where it meets the sheet on the floor.

When we are new to Photography we face not having enough equipment, not the right kind of equipment or not knowing how to use the equipment we do have but the main obstacle is ourselves I think.

On the above shot I captured an area outside my homemade background  which I could have avoided if I was paying more attention. In my defense it's hard to pay attention when a Blonde Model is posing in her undies.

Lets start with extending my homemade background so it covers the whole frame.

If you are wondering what that Gray area is, it's what you see when you extend your workspace. You need to do this so you can drag the selection out. This how you increase the workspace.

After you accept the Transformation your Background will be fully extended and the unwanted area is covered up.

Press COMMAND+D (Pc: CTRL+D) to deselect.

Now you don't have to go out a buy a bigger backdrop.

The remaining problems are easily fixed with the Clone Stamp tool.

There you have it. If you can add anything to this please leave me a comment.

Thanks for looking and remember;

 Photoshop is alot like sex. It doesn't always come out good but it's always worth trying.
