Xposing how to Draw straight lines with the Lasso Tool in Photoshop.

If you ever tried to draw a straight line with the Lasso tool, you know how difficult it is. You need hands like a Heart Surgeon.

Follow this method and you won't have to go to medical school.

Select the Lasso Tool and start drawing your selection like you normally would. When you get to the part where you need to draw the straight line follow these steps:

• draw your selection normally until you get to the point where you need a straight selection.
• press & hold OPTION (Pc: ALT) > RELEASE MOUSE BUTTON > continue drawing.
• you won't notice it but the Lasso tool changes to the Polygonal Tool.
• when finished drawing the Straight Selection > CLICK & HOLD mouse to add a Point.
• release the OPTION/ALT KEY (changes back to Lasso Tool) continue drawing selection.

There you have it, a Surgeon couldn't have drawn a straighter selection.

You are now a little bit closer to becoming a Photoshop expert.
